Oddball by Marc Oberon

Oddball by Marc Oberon is a fantastic and extremely direct mentalism effect that can involve several spectators and works equally well for close-up, parlour or stage performances.

Several white balls and one black ball are placed into an opaque bag and thoroughly mixed. A group of spectators each secretly takes one ball and keeps it completely hidden in their hand. Despite never seeing which ball anyone selected, the performer is able to identify exactly who is holding the black ball.

The effect is simple for the audience to understand, creates plenty of opportunity for presentation and can be performed as a demonstration of intuition, lie detection or mind reading.
